Physician Therapeutics is a specialty pharmaceutical company that provides a range of prescription Medical Food products and a line of traditional generic drugs. The goal of the Company is to provide safe and effective therapeutic products for patients with certain disease states, who are under the ongoing care of a physician. The Company has spent many years developing novel Medical Food products that address the nutrient requirements of diseases such as fibromyalgia, pain syndromes, sleep disorders, metabolic syndromes, hypertension, and asthma.

All Medical Food products use Targeted Cellular Technology® a patented process that allows very small quantities of neurotransmitter precursors to enter the cells and produce specific neurotransmitters.

This five component system includes:

1. A neurotransmitter precursor supplied as an amino acid
2. A neuronal uptake stimulator
3. A neuron activator
4. An adenosine antagonist, such to disinhibit the neuron
5. An attenuation inhibitor of the precursor response a well known precursor phenomena

This proprietary application of neurotransmitter science is designed to promote the production and release of the neurotransmitters norepinephrine, epinephrine, dopamine, serotonin, acetylcholine, histamine, glutamine and nitric oxide.

Medical food formulas synchronize the fluctuating demand for neurotransmitters with the availability of the precursor supply, which is especially important for processes that are controlled by circadian rhythms, such as utilization of arginine for the production of nitric oxide. It is important to note that maintaining adequate neurotransmitter levels in disease states is not a pharmaceutical mechanism of action (MOA), but is achieved via a dietary management mechanism, the nutritional ingestion of the required distinctive nutrients in the specific quantities needed to modulate cellular responses.

The Company's Medical Food products include Theramine®, Sentra PM®, GABAdone®, Sentra AM®, Hypertensa®, AppTrim®, Lister V® and Trepadone®.

Theramine stimulates the nitric oxide/serotonin neurotransmitters that address the increased nutrient requirements in acute and chronic pain.

Sentra PM® stimulates the choline/serotonin neurotransmitters to nutritionally modulate sleep cycles and addresses the nutritional requirements in sleep disorders associated with depression.

GABAdone® stimulates the choline/GABA neurotransmitters to nutritionally modulate sleep cycles and addresses the nutritional requirements in sleep disorders associated with anxiety.

Sentra AM® stimulates the acetylcholine neurotransmitters to nutritionally modulate cognition and fatigue and addresses the nutritional requirements of autonomic nervous system disorders including fibromyalgia.

Hypertensa® stimulates the nitric oxide/choline neurotransmitters that nutritionally modulate arterial flexibility and addresses the nutritional requirements of hypertension and metabolic syndrome.

AppTrim® stimulates the serotonin/norepinephrine neurotransmitters to nutritionally modulate insulin resistance and addresses the nutritional requirements of metabolic syndrome associated with obesity.

Lister V® stimulates nitric oxide to nutritionally modulate white blood cell production and addresses the nutritional requirements of immune function as it pertains to infection control.

Trepadone® stimulates nitric oxide neurotransmitters and supplies chondroitin, glucosamine and omega 3 fatty acids and addresses pain and inflammation of the joints.

These disease states have distinct nutritional requirements as outlined in the product monographs.

Physician Therapeutics validates its products using the Evidence Based Medicine guidance recommended by the FDA. The FDA has developed criteria for evaluating the large body of information that is required to assess the value of therapeutic interventions. In the FDA guidance program, the type, quantity, and consistency of evidence is evaluated and graded.

Company products are distributed through physicians with prescription only requirements. Clinical experience has shown that Medical Foods used alone or with traditional drugs have a low side effect profile, while maintaining the desired therapeutic effect.

Physician Therapeutics' proprietary products provide a novel approach to the management of disease states for which past therapies have often resulted in unacceptable side effects.
